Job Summary:
The ideal candidate should have a strong engineering background with at least 7 years of hands-on experience in engineering and technical services. They will be responsible for leading technical teams, offering expert guidance, and ensuring the successful execution of complex engineering projects. This role demands excellent project management skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
- Oversee the technical services team, providing leadership, mentoring, and support.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Use project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, etc.) to track project progress, manage risks, and meet project milestones.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
- Provide technical expertise in engineering processes, technologies, and methodologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and review technical documents, including project plans, reports, and presentations.
- Ensure quality assurance and control procedures are implemented and maintained throughout the project.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering/ technical services.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
Strong knowledge of engineering technicalities across various sectors (e.g., mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.).
Skills
- Proficiency in using project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar software.
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, with proven leadership experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Attention to detail.
- Good understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in managing large scale engineering projects.
Certification in Project Management (PMP or equivalent) is a plus.
