JOB DESCRIPTION OF AN ACCOUNT OFFICER
Experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Experience in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP) is preferred.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Process and record all invoices and payments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure timely collection of payments from clients and resolve any issues related to outstanding accounts receivable.
- Maintain records of all transactions for accounts payable and receivable.
- Bank Reconciliation:
- Perform daily, weekly, or monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial data.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between bank statements and company records.
- Financial Reporting:
- Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure reports are compliant with accounting standards and company policies.
- Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts when required.
- Transaction Recording:
- Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded in compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy in financial documentation.
- Tax Compliance:
- Assist with the preparation and submission of tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in audits as needed.
- Payroll Support:
- Assist with payroll processing, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Maintain employee records, including deductions, bonuses, and tax withholdings.
- Audit Assistance:
- Provide necessary documentation and financial records for internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with auditors to ensure smooth and efficient audit processes.
- General Administrative Support:
- Provide support for other finance-related administrative tasks as needed.
- Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal teams to resolve any financial queries or issues.
